Spent a few hours in the Arizona Cactus Garden at Stanford today, and the hummingbirds were enjoying the desert museum palo verde tree- it’s got a green trunk and hundreds of delicate yellow blossoms that look a bit like orchids and the scent was somewhat like jasmine.

It was fun to visit Adelman Peony Farm south of Portland, Oregon- near Salem with my Grandma last week. It’s like peony heaven with acres and acres of beautiful peony flowers! (Click on the image to enlarge)
