SF Botanical Garden 6/6/20

Enjoyed a walk around the SF Botanical Garden. Liked the juxtaposition of the waterlily and the fern, the intricate blossom of the proteas, and watching the very cute chestnut backed chickadees, even seeing the mom feed her child. Aren’t the cute?

Stanford Arizona Cactus Garden - 5/25/20

Went to Stanford University’s Arizona Cactus Garden today. It was an unusually warm (90s) day but the garden’s cacti were putting on a beautiful display of blossoms, which I tried to capture- but the photos don’t quite capture the beauty of the light shining through these delicate and beautiful blossoms. It’s amazing to me that the cacti- with their spikes and generally plain exteriors put on such a beautiful display. I also saw the hummingbirds and a few other birds around the garden. Take a look!

Shoreline Park 5/16/20- Birds

Went for a short walk around the Shoreline Park pond today. There were a ton of people, but not so many birds. Saw a beautiful snowy egret and a forster’s tern.
